I receive a phone call from my friend asking for help. she then told me that her son is visually impaired and has problems using the computer software. so then i sent him this powen point of the printscreens so he now knows how to use all the helping tools on the computer.
This is the first step to change the layout of your screen, first of all you right click then go to view then you can chose from many types.
This is the QAT also stands for quick access toolbar.
You can also add other applications to the QAT to make it easier and quicker for the user.
There are so many things you can do on a computer like changing the back round colour.
To change the back round colour you go to page layout, they go to page colour and just pick what one you want.
You can also remove the ribbon to make the screen bigger
This is a screen print of the background colour changed to blue.
When you want to change the colour of the writing you click on the letter A underlined in red, then pick what ever colour you would like.
The computer is also very good for people who are visibly impaired.
Magnifier is a very good tool because it enlarges the piece of information when you scroll the mouse over it.

These are the thing I included in the document and a short explicion about them.
I made many changes such as;
· I moved the icons around so there not all bunched up and to make them easier to read.
· I also made the icons bigger so it is easier to see the writing.
· I used some of the tools and I changed the colour of the page.
· I also changed the colour of the writing.
· Then I changed the font style, and the size of the font
· I also minimized the ribbon.
· Then I turned on the magnifier tool.
· Then I used the narrator
So the reasons I moved the icons around is so that there easier read and easier to see, this would make it a lot easier for the reader that is visually impaired.
The next one was making the icons bigger this is also another good thing for the visually impaired because it make it a lot easier to see.
I changed the colour of the background to make the writing stand out and to make it easier to read.
Changing the colour of the background didn’t work because of the writing colour, so I changed it to white to make it easier.
After that I then changed the font style and size also to make it easier to read.
Then I removed the ribbon this helps the visually impaired because when the ribbon is gone there is more of the page so it is easier to see.
Then I turned on the magnifier tool this is a very good tool for the visually impaired because it helps them to read the writing better, because when you scroll the mouse over any part of the screen it makes it far bigger and easier to read.
After that I turned on the narrator tool this is another very good tool and easy to use, when you move the mouse around the screen the computer tells you where the mouse is and what it is over.
