To transfer large files from one computer to another can be done by using and memory stick or an external hard drive, the external hard drive is dearer but it is better because it has a large storage area. £20.00 up to £500.00.

Computer games software and the hardware
If he was going to use the computer to play games he would have to get new software and hardware, the software needed is Graphic Software so you can have good quality it is easy to get because all you do is go on to the internet and down load it for free. You would also need to get RAM (Random Access Memory) this is so your computer will be able to run the game smoothly. This can cost from £5.99 to anything up to £300.00.
The hardware needed to play the games would be just the games controllers, joysticks and gaming mouse. These make it far easier to play the game because they are made for it. The price can range from £24.00 up to £109.00 for the joy stick and for the mouse it is £15.00 to £62.00
Headset
If you want to play games on the computer you will need the headset, with a range of advanced technology to ensure your comfort and quality the Fatal1ty Headset won't let you down. Digital camera and printer
If he was taking a lot of pictures he would need to have a good camera they can cost from 14.99 to anything up to 449.99.
I have chosen this camera because it is a good quality and easy to use, it is dear but if he is going to be taking a lot of pictures he will need a good camera.
Printer
This would be a good printer because it is a photo printer and if he wants to print out photos in good quality he will need a good computer.
Prices can range from 179.99 to anything up to 499.99 for the printer
I have chosen this printer for him because it is a good make and is very good for his use of printing photos.

Band width is the speed of your download speed there are cretin band widths, for different reasons, if you were only browsing the internet you would only get a small one but if you liked to play game you would need a fast on because you don’t want the games to be slow, the bigger band width the bigger the price.
The last piece of software you will need an Email is shorthand term meaning Electronic Mail. Email much the same as a letter, only that it is exchanged in a different way. The hardware

First of all to get your internet up and going you will need to have the hardware which consists of, an internet ready computer witch is so you can go on the internet when you get it all hooked up.
Then you will need the router, these are physical devices that join multiple wired or wireless networks together. It is also used to direct data transmissions from one computer system to another. The size and capabilities of any given router can vary greatly from one router to another. All of the data that is being passed along the network, from computer system to computer system, is directed into the router, and then transmitted along to its eventual destination. The router can either come in wired or wireless, wireless is far better because you can go all round the house or business. It also works the same way and is not any slower.
After the router you will need a phone line, this is to get the internet connection from the ISP to your home. This is just a cable from the phone into the router; it brings the connection in to your house.
Then your ISP will connect you to a server, a server is a bigger version of the computer hard drive. This is where every website in the world is stored, every big organization has a server. If the server crashes or stops for some reason this means that no one would be able to access the website.
Task 2
You receive a phone call from your Friend asking you to look at the computer as they have recently got into computer gaming and are experiencing slow response times and poor video.
There are many steps you can take to increase your response time and make the video quality better.
To do this you need hardware and software
RAM (Random Access Memory) is the "working memory" in a computer. Additional RAM allows a computer to work with more information at the same time which can have a dramatic effect on total system performance.
